A tip about where you milk comes from! You could be paying for name brand price in generic packaging-which is a good thing!

After the expiration  date Is the bottling plant # this is roundy's milk (Rainbow brand) but the bottling plant 27-168 is kemps minneapolis 27-168 is on the kemps bottles too, there is NOT a separate line for other milks that are contracted  this milk comes out of the same batches of milk as the kemps milk but is alot cheaper for the same milk! Anyone can figure this out, all they have to do is grab the store brand milk and match up the plant # with the name brand milk to see who produced it!

Homemade Moon Sand-Recipe found online by Layla!

Recipe for homemade moon sand (1 batch)
6 cups of play sand (I got a 50lb bag from Lowes, it was $4.99 plus tax)
3 cups of cornstarch (most dollar stores carry it for $1 per box...you'll need around 24 boxes for the whole 50lbs!)
1 1/2 cups of cold water
Step one: Mix the water and cornstarch together thoroughly, this will take a few minutes to get it nice and smooth.
Step two: Gradually mix in the sand, one cup at a time. You'll need to really work it in with your fingers.
Step three: Play with it!
Step four: When you're all done, pop it in an airtight container.
Step five: When you next play with it, you'll need to revive it with 2-3 tablespoons of water. Just sprinkle it over and work it in.
That's all there is to it. Very cheap, very easy and the kids will get to play with heaps of the stuff. Play sand also comes in different colors, so buy different colored bags to mix things up a little. Have fun!

Homemade Kahlua Recipe from Nancy!

6 cups sugar
6 cups water
20 tsp instant coffee
1/2 gallon vodka
12 tsp pure vanilla
Mix sugar, water, coffee together and bring to slow boil. Turn heat down and simmer 1 hour. Remove heat, cover liquid with plastic wrap. Let sit for 12 hours, then remove wrap (it will pick up film from the top). Add vodka and vanilla, stir well. Bottle in dark bottles.
Notes:, Yield 3 quarts. Drinkable immediately. We usually make a half-batch because it's so darn big

Homemade Limon Cello From Nancy!

1 liter of 100 proof vodka (Absolut is the most popular 100 proof brand)
1 1/2 cups water
5 large lemons - NOT lemon juice
2 cups sugar
Wash the lemons, quarter them, and squeeze out as much of the juice as you can. Discard the juice.
Pour the vodka into a large mason jar, or other airtight glass jar.
Add the lemons, seal the jar, and put it in a dark cool place for 5 days.
After 5 days, put the water in a pot, add the sugar and bring to a boil.
Keep at low boil for 5 minutes, stirring often.
Cool to room temperature.
Stir in the vodka and lemons, wait an hour.
Remove the lemon pieces (best to strain them out).
Stir.
Pour the mixture into glass bottles and make airtight.
Put the bottles in your freezer overnight.
Store in freezer until your next dinner event or cocktail party. In Italy, limoncello is traditionally served in small ceramic cups. It can be mixed with tonic, if preferred.
